Unarmed Physical Defense (UPD)

Course Details

Unarmed physical defense is an outcome-based course focused on countering spontaneous criminal assault. Following a non-attribute based, modernized combative framework, the principles and skills taught do not require extended attribute development to apply effectively. Through the proper application of tactics and physical skills, clients will learn methods to counter and escape close range assault. Training topics include:Defensive Software, Threat Awareness and Response Overview, Proximity Control, Non-Grounded Striking and Initiative Based Tactics, Instinctual Defense & The Default Response, Vertical Grappling/Clinch, Physical Tools and Striking Mechanics, Anatomical Targeting, Escape & Evasion Tactics.
