Course Overview

The progressive folding knife seminar is designed for the lawful knife owner, law enforcement officer, executive protection specialist or military operator who carries a folding knife as an everyday tool and last resort in-extremis personal defense aid. PFK1 offers a progressive introduction to safety and fundamentals of folding knife access, deployment and manipulation under stress of close-range criminal assault. Training topics include: Use of Force Overview, Edged Tool Safety Considerations, Folding Knife for Personal Defense, Understanding Criminal Assault, Folding Knife Selection, Folder vs. Fixed Blade Analysis, Carry, In-Fight Access, Blade Deployment, Countering Grabs & Chokes, Countering Close Range Attacks.
