Course Overview

This two-day program will outline safe, proven, and streamlined tactics for one or more individuals to work reflexively and dynamically in open areas, close quarters, and around vehicles. Topics covered will include individual, and team tactics in modern/advanced handgun and carbine skills, defensive response from within vehicles, hot-side/cold-side vehicle embus, fighting around vehicles, vertical and horizontal divergent actions on contact, check-cover drills, the running phalanx, L-shaped subject management, cardinal direction bounding and peeling, joining in-progress exercises and examination of vehicle-related ballistic protection facts and fallacies. Any law enforcement officers involved in patrol, high-risk operations, fugitive recovery, or motorcades can benefit from this training.

 

Enrollment: Open to law enforcement, government agencies, Department of Defense.

Student Equipment

Semi-Automatic handgun with a minimum of three extra magazines and handgun cleaning supplies
Serviceable carbine with minimum of three extra magazines and cleaning supplies
Duty belt with secure holster and magazine pouches*
Carbine magazine carriage system to include belt pouches and or chest rig
400 rounds handgun ammunition
300 rounds carbine ammunition
Standard duty attire for conducting firearms training (weather-appropriate active wear, etc.)
Eye protection and electronic ear protection
Hat with brim and sturdy shoes applicable to range environment
Hydration and snacks
Note taking materials
* Blackhawk Serpa model holsters are strictly prohibited during live fire range training and banned in all PFC Training classes for safety reasons. For copies of PFC’s and the Federal Government’s policies regarding the use of Blackhawk Serpa holsters, contact PFC HQ.

Dining

Breaks will be offered throughout the class. Bring water and snacks for consumption during these breaks, if desired. There will be a “short” break for lunch.
