Fundamental Shotgun Skills (FSS)
When
May 30, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pmPrice
$145.00Course Overview
With the increase in Covid19 related gun purchases PFC will continue to conduct training classes in an effort to promote firearm education and safety. The Pioneer Annex Range Complex is a 76+ acre outdoor facility that allows us to take advantage of the open-air environment and follow federal guidelines while conducting training.
Fundamental Shotgun Skills (FSS) is a 5hr introductory course designed to provide students with safe, efficient, and effective defensive shotgun skills. Contrary to popular belief, the shotgun doesn’t have to “beat you up” if the proper technique is utilized. Learn to be an effective shotgun operator without the fear or pain commonly associated with this firearm. Students will receive a mixture of lecture, practical, and live-fire instruction aimed at familiarizing them with their shotgun, how it works, and how to consistently achieve accurate first-round hits on target. FSS is great for beginners looking to learn new skills or shooters looking to fine-tune previously learned skills. This course is an excellent prep-course for any of the PFC Progressive Shotgun Series of courses.
Course content will include but is not limited to:
- Firearms & Range Safety
- Shotgun Nomenclature
- Shotgun Maintenance
- Preparatory Handling (Loading, Status Check & Unloading)
- Mounting and Recoil Mitigation
- Fundamentals of Marksmanship and Self Patterning
