CLOSED: Modern Use-Of-Force & Legal Responsibilities (MUFLR) – San Dimas, CA

When

March 18 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Course Overview

This eight-hour course of classroom instruction is designed for security professionals active in field operations. Training presented addresses and discusses various use-of-force topics to prepare students before an incident occurs, make sound and justifiable decisions during an incident, and perform proper defensible articulation post-incident. Subject matter includes critical definitions, discussion of reasonable vs. necessary action, established and emerging case law, case study review and incident dissection, proper articulation and legal defense, understanding company and media concerns, and the after-action “lessons learned” protocol for internally reviewing an incident. Studying career offenders and assailants has shown us that some uses of force are unavoidable. With that, security personnel must be educated, aware, and prepared physically AND intellectually for all use-of-force scenarios.
