Carbine Positions and Barricades

Extended ranges, angles of engagement, injuries, and barricades often require the usage of special positions and tactics to maximize fighting effectiveness. Gaining the experience of shooting positions and barricades allows the shooter to problem solve in our dynamic world.

Course content will include but is not limited to:

Bilateral/Transfer

Carbine Shooting Positions- (Speed Kneel, Double Kneel, Fetal, Prone, Squat)

Principles of Using Barricades

Course/Student Equipment:

• Serviceable semi-automatic carbine 5.56 or .223 caliber preferred
• 300 rounds (estimated) of serviceable rifle ammunition
• Carbine magazine pouches/carry system, belt, or chest rig
• Sling (if desired)
• Three (3) Thirty Round carbine magazines
• Serviceable semi-automatic pistol
• 50 rounds (estimated) of serviceable pistol ammunition
• A sturdy belt & holster that is made specifically for the firearm you will be using is required.
• Three (3) pistol magazines and 2 magazine pouches (minimum)
• Hearing Protection and Eye Protection
• Hat with Brim, Clothing, and shoes appropriate for outdoor range environment and weather conditions
• Knee Pads (if desired)
