Tyler Youngren

Staff Instructor

Bringing over 10 years of combined law enforcement and security experience, Tyler Youngren started with PFC as a student in the Summer of 2007. Attending his first PFC course would lay the groundwork for his career in armed security and as a uniformed law enforcement officer.

Tyler graduated from The Citadel Military College of South Carolina with a B.A. in History. Over the next few years, Tyler assisted PFC in both training and Safeguards’ projects abroad and overseas. Such projects included site security for high net worth individuals, plain clothes surveillance, and logistical support for restricted military and law enforcement courses.

While supporting PFC, Tyler contracted as an armed maritime security officer on behalf of the US Coast Guard. Tyler worked closely with Customs and Border Protection on foreign cargo vessels that have been deemed a risk to U.S. ports in the Pacific Northwest. Here he maintained the accountability of crew and cargo in addition to preventing unauthorized materials and personnel from entering or leaving US soil.

After receiving an M.A. in Social Sciences from The Citadel, Tyler would then transition to become a sworn police officer with the City of North Charleston, South Carolina. Tyler gained valuable experience working with multiple agencies and specialized units in the Tri-County area of North Charleston to guarantee the safety of its citizens through calls for service and engaging members of the the community through proactive policing.

Currently Tyler works full time at PFC Headquarters in Las Vegas as a Training Coordinator and Project Manager with PFC Training and PFC Safeguards.
