SUMMARY:CLOSED: Tactical Firearms Instructor Certification - Handgun (TFIC-H) - Goodsprings\, NV
DESCRIPTION:PFC’s TFIC-H is a complete 4-day pistol instructor program designed to impart the fundamentals of teaching handgun skills and managing pistol training for armed professionals. TFIC-H standards currently exceed every state\, military\, federal\, or commercial firearms certification process. Students must successfully pass six examinations scoring no lower than 100% on one and no lower than 90% on the remaining 5. Training includes safety\, instructor development\, risk analysis\, remediation\, development of live fire evolutions\, as well as progressive operation of the semi-automatic handgun weapon system. Evaluations include a comprehensive written exam\, dry fire Limited Scope Performance Test (LSPT)\, Live Fire Skills Test (LFST)\, classroom presentation\, student-led live fire evolution\, and construction of a hazard-mitigating Risk Analysis Tool. Graduates can safely instruct students in combative handgun fundamentals and develop and run essential live fire evolutions or qualification courses. \n  \nDue to the proprietary information taught in this program\, TFIC-H applicants are screened on a case-by-case basis. Graduates of this instructor program will be provided with a detailed manual and training curriculum authorized for use within their organization\, department\, or unit. \n  \nPre-requisite: TFIC-H is not a “how to shoot” course\, and as such\, students who lack shooting skills upon arrival stand a very low chance of completing the Live Fire Skills Test\, which will only be administered a limited number of times. Registered applicants may request a copy of this skills test for practice before the course. \n  \nEnrollment: Open to law enforcement\, the Department of Defense\, government agencies\, and active security professionals. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Protective Security Operations Certification (PSOC) - Las Vegas
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nPSOC is designed exclusively for private security\, Federal Government\, DoD\, and law enforcement professionals interested in learning modern methods for executive protection and personal security of high net-worth or ‘at-risk’ individuals. This five-day certification program is approved for training by multiple Federal Government\, state\, and corporate organizations and is the only major university-accredited protective services training program in the United States. \n  \nPSOC consists of (2) two training modules: Protection Agent Development (four days) and Protective Pistol Skills (one day). \n  \nProtection Agent Development (PAD) teaches contemporary skills for low visibility personal security in permissive to semi-permissive environments where a low to moderate threat exists. This highly academic and practical application-based training course creates a comprehensive and balanced foundation for prospective or current members of protective details. The subject matter comprises the most progressive and relevant doctrine for individuals seeking instruction in new EP practices. \n  \nProtective Pistol Skills (PPS) is the weapons-centric component of PSOC and is entirely range-based. This format allows students to focus on the safe and practical use of a concealed handgun during protective operations. Students will learn individual and team-based firearms tactics as they apply to third-person/principal defense. \n  \nThe primary goal of PSOC is to educate and train those tasked with protective operations professionally. Regardless of background or current assignment\, students are trained to operate as a team. It is critical that protection agents exhibit professionalism\, demonstrate fluid proficiency\, and act with confidence in their abilities. To achieve and enforce this\, students are held to a high standard and expected to perform during training. This is a certification course where various forms of testing and evaluation are utilized to measure the requisite knowledge\, skills\, and abilities for graduation. Attendance does not guarantee completion. Protection Agent Development (Module 1) and Protective Pistol Skills (Module 2) may be taken separately if desired. However\, both modules must be completed within 12 months to earn the full PSOC certificate. \n  \nPre-requisite: None. \n  \nEnrollment: Open to active security professionals\, law enforcement\, the Department of Defense\, government agencies\, eligible government contractors\, and approved civilians with a security industry affiliation. \n  \nAll applicants must be approved to register: \nPlease submit a Restricted Program Approval Request \nA course registration link will be sent upon approval.  \n  \nCommercial Cost: $1\,795.00 \n  \nGSA Cost: $1\,316.00

SUMMARY:Protective Security Operations Certification (PSOC) - Los Angeles\, CA
DESCRIPTION:PSOC is designed exclusively for private security\, Federal Government\, DoD\, and law enforcement professionals interested in learning modern methods for executive protection and personal security of high net-worth or ‘at-risk’ individuals. This five-day certification program is approved for training by multiple Federal Government\, state\, and corporate organizations\, and is the only major university accredited protective services training program in the United States. The subject matter comprises the most progressive and relevant doctrine currently available for individuals seeking instruction in new EP practices. \n  \nProtective Pistol Skills (PPS) is the weapons-centric component of PSOC and is entirely range-based. This format allows students to focus their attention on the safe and practical use of a concealed handgun during protective operations. Students will learn both individual and team-based tactics with firearms as they apply to third-person/principal defense. \n  \nThe primary goal of PSOC is to professionally educate and train those tasked with protective operations. SUMMARY:Combative Concealed Handgun (CCH)
DESCRIPTION:Despite the proliferation of concealed carry weapon licenses issued for responsible citizens or security professionals\, none of these programs teach or train the end-user Combative Concealed Handgun (CCH) to work with and from a covered weapon. This one-day program is designed to teach the necessary skills to safely carry and dynamically present a handgun from concealment during use-of-force encounters. Students will be taught different techniques for deploying their handgun from a variety of concealed carry methods and positions. Topics covered will include wardrobe selection and modification\, support equipment\, legal considerations\, use of force doctrine\, methods of concealment and deployment\, progressive handgun skills\, intensive concealed weapon drilling\, and unconventional tactics for accessing and fighting with a concealed handgun. This course is a must for any responsible concealed weapon carrier. \n  \nPre-requisite: None \n  \nEnrollment: Open \n

SUMMARY:C4C Police Jiu-Jitsu Level 1 - Westlake\, OH
DESCRIPTION:To purchase tickets for this event\, please go to the C4CPJJ website. \n  \nC4C Police Jiu-Jitsu Level One \nA “game plan” or course curriculum comes with each level that can be used as the department’s exact defensive tactics (DT) curriculum or supplement a department’s current DT curriculum.  \nC4CPJJ Level 1 includes a bonus foundation level for officers who have no experience in DT or combatives. This foundational level material is perfect for an academy setting\, for officers in an FTO position\, or for police departments who do not have a current control/grappling curriculum and wish to transition to this type of training.  \nC4CPJJ is a complete DT system based on the LEO reasonable outcomes of control and then custody. The foundations level sets the foundation\, and level one allows officers to progress over time\, realizing growth in their personal ability within the DT program. As officers continue to improve and grow\, they will develop increased confidence\, capability\, control\, and compassion for subjects that they may have to use force on. It is NOT a simple BJJ lesson plan called “LEO” Training.” \nLevel 1 -course topics include: \n\n4 Fundamental Principles that every DT program should have 3 Fundamental Sub-Categories of Subject Control\nUse of force\nDecision making \nDe-escalation\nContact communication\nPunch defense\nControl in solo officer and team settings Takedowns and takedown defense\nGround control and ground defense\nHandcuffing\nWeapon retention\, weapon defense\, and more. \n\n\nInstruction and demonstration of effective teaching strategies:  \n\nSafely running combative training\nProven methods to plan a course or training day\nTeaching methodology that enhances student recall and performance in the field \n\n\nCourse Completion:  \nOfficers who successfully attend and complete the course will receive credit at the appropriate level. Students with extensive training\, coaching\, and LEO experience can be graded out higher by PJJ Instructors at a Level One course upon completion. Completing Level 2 or higher will authorize students to attend advanced C4CPJJ coursework (Level 3-5) in the future. Students are encouraged to use the curriculum from the training within their department and share and teach the same to other officers. Graduates are not certified to teach or represent C4CPJJ outside of department duties without invitation and written authorization from Chad Lyman. \n\n\n\n\n\nEnrollment: \nLimited to Active LEOs and Approved Civilians Only. \n
