SUMMARY:Protective Security Operations Certification (PSOC) - San Jose\, CA
DESCRIPTION:PSOC is designed exclusively for private security\, Federal Government\, DoD\, and law enforcement professionals interested in learning modern methods for executive protection and personal security of high net-worth or ‘at-risk’ individuals. This five-day certification program is approved for training by multiple Federal Government\, state\, and corporate organizations and is the only major university-accredited protective services training program in the United States. \nPSOC consists of (2) two training modules: Protection Agent Development (four days) and Protective Pistol Skills (one day). \nProtection Agent Development (PAD) teaches contemporary skills for low visibility personal security in permissive to semi-permissive environments where a low to moderate threat exists. This highly academic and practical application-based training course creates a comprehensive and balanced foundation for prospective or current members of protective details. The subject matter comprises the most progressive and relevant doctrine for individuals seeking instruction in new EP practices. \nProtective Pistol Skills (PPS) is the weapons-centric component of PSOC and is entirely range-based. This format allows students to focus on the safe and practical use of a concealed handgun during protective operations. Students will learn individual and team-based firearms tactics as they apply to third-person/principal defense. \nThe primary goal of PSOC is to educate and train those tasked with protective operations professionally. Regardless of background or current assignment\, students are trained to operate as a team. It is critical that protection agents exhibit professionalism\, demonstrate fluid proficiency\, and act with confidence in their abilities. To achieve and enforce this\, students are held to a high standard and expected to perform during training. This is a certification course where various forms of testing and evaluation are utilized to measure the requisite knowledge\, skills\, and abilities for graduation. Attendance does not guarantee completion. Protection Agent Development (Module 1) and Protective Pistol Skills (Module 2) may be taken separately if desired. SUMMARY:Protective Security Operations Certification (PSOC) - Las Vegas
Students will learn individual firearms tactics as they apply to third-person/principal defense. However\, both modules must be completed within 12 months to earn the full PSOC certificate. \nPre-requisite: None. \nEnrollment: Open to active security professionals\, law enforcement\, the Department of Defense\, government agencies\, eligible government contractors\, and approved civilians with a security industry affiliation. \nSpecific start times will be given upon registration. \nAll applicants must be approved to register: \nPlease submit a Restricted Program Approval Request \nA course registration link will be sent upon approval.  \nCommercial Cost: $2\,025.00 per student \nGSA Cost: $$1\,381.80 per student \nSTUDENT EQUIPMENT LIST: \nPAD Module 1 List:\nCasual attire for classroom and field training\nBusiness-Casual attire for final exercise (slacks\, collared shirt\, jacket\, etc.)\nSmall hand-held flashlight\n3×5 notebook w/ pen\nCellular phone\nLaptop/Computer Tablet (Strongly Recommended) \nPPS Module 2 Equipment List:\nStandard range attire while conducting firearms training (weather-appropriate activewear\, etc.)\nSemi-automatic pistol w/ at least three magazines \n400 rounds of handgun ammunition\nStrong-side belt or paddle concealment holster **\nSupport-side concealment magazine carrier(s)\nBelt for range work compatible w/ holster and magazine carrier\nEye protection for day conditions and Ear protection\nHat with brim\nSturdy footwear for range \nCover garments such as a vest or light jacket (for concealment drills)
