SUMMARY:C4C PJJ - Weapon Retention and Defense Fundamentals - CA
DESCRIPTION:Officers will train fundamental principal-based concepts and techniques to retain their own weapon systems and tools.  Firearm retention will be trained both in the holster and out.  Officers will also train retention both standing and on the ground.\n\n\n  \nWeapon Defense will consist of identifying and interrupting a suspect’s attempt to arm themselves\, edged weapon defense and countermeasures (standing and on the ground)\, and basic firearms defense.  ACT principle will be taught to teach officers how to access their own firearm in the clinch when needed.\n\n\n  \nAll iterations will be done dry with training weapon platforms.  NO LIVE weapons or ammo. \n  \nEnrollment: Open to law enforcement\, Department of Defense\, government agencies\, eligible government contractors. \n  \n \n  \nEnroll in this two-day C4C PJJ course and attendance at Friday 7/23 No-Gi Seminar is FREE! \n

Officers will also learn fundamental principles and concepts against dedicated disarm attempts to include weapon retention fundamental principles in the holster\, out of the holster\, standing against a wall/barrier\, and on the ground. Fundamentals taught will include the RAT and CUTT weapon retention principles. Officers will also train I-CAT edged weapon defense\, handgun takeaways\, and the ACT Fundamental Principles for accessing your own firearm in a lethal engagement where the officers are entangled with a lethal suspect.
