SUMMARY:CLOSED: Tactical Firearms Instructor Certification - Handgun (TFIC-H) - Goodsprings\, NV
DESCRIPTION:PFC’s TFIC-H is a complete 4-day pistol instructor program designed to impart the fundamentals of teaching handgun skills and managing pistol training for armed professionals. TFIC-H standards currently exceed every state\, military\, federal\, or commercial firearms certification process. Students must successfully pass six examinations scoring no lower than 100% on one and no lower than 90% on the remaining 5. Training includes safety\, instructor development\, risk analysis\, remediation\, development of live fire evolutions\, as well as progressive operation of the semi-automatic handgun weapon system. Evaluations include a comprehensive written exam\, dry fire Limited Scope Performance Test (LSPT)\, Live Fire Skills Test (LFST)\, classroom presentation\, student-led live fire evolution\, and construction of a hazard-mitigating Risk Analysis Tool. Graduates can safely instruct students in combative handgun fundamentals and develop and run essential live fire evolutions or qualification courses. \n  \nDue to the proprietary information taught in this program\, TFIC-H applicants are screened on a case-by-case basis. Graduates of this instructor program will be provided with a detailed manual and training curriculum authorized for use within their organization\, department\, or unit. \n  \nPre-requisite: TFIC-H is not a “how to shoot” course\, and as such\, students who lack shooting skills upon arrival stand a very low chance of completing the Live Fire Skills Test\, which will only be administered a limited number of times. Registered applicants may request a copy of this skills test for practice before the course. \n  \nEnrollment: Open to law enforcement\, the Department of Defense\, government agencies\, and active security professionals. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Protective Security Operations Certification (PSOC) - Los Angeles\, CA
DESCRIPTION:PSOC is designed exclusively for private security\, Federal Government\, DoD\, and law enforcement professionals interested in learning modern methods for executive protection and personal security of high net-worth or ‘at-risk’ individuals. This five-day certification program is approved for training by multiple Federal Government\, state\, and corporate organizations\, and is the only major university accredited protective services training program in the United States. \n  \nPSOC consists of (2) two training modules: Protection Agent Development (four days) and Protective Pistol Skills (one day). \n  \nProtection Agent Development (PAD) teaches contemporary skills for low visibility personal security in permissive to semi-permissive environments where a low to moderate threat exists. This highly academic and practical application-based training course creates a comprehensive and balanced foundation for prospective or current members of protective details. The subject matter comprises the most progressive and relevant doctrine currently available for individuals seeking instruction in new EP practices. \n  \nProtective Pistol Skills (PPS) is the weapons-centric component of PSOC and is entirely range-based. This format allows students to focus their attention on the safe and practical use of a concealed handgun during protective operations. Students will learn both individual and team-based tactics with firearms as they apply to third-person/principal defense. \n  \nThe primary goal of PSOC is to professionally educate and train those tasked with protective operations. Regardless of background or current assignment\, students are trained to operate as a team. It is critical that protection agents exhibit professionalism\, demonstrate fluid proficiency\, and act with confidence in their abilities. SUMMARY:CLOSED COURSE - Trauma Care & Immediate Response - Extended (TCAIR-X) - Mountain Home\, ID
DESCRIPTION:TCAIR Expanded (TCAIR-X) combines TCAIR-MIL and PHTLS into a five-day course providing both TCCC and PHTLS certifications upon successful completion. Additional days of scenarios and final training exercises may be added to customize the course based on unit-specific desired learning objectives or mission needs. Includes Heartsaver CPR certification through American Heart Association. \n  \nTRAUMA CARE AND IMMEDIATE RESPONSE -MILITARY \nMilitary personnel experience diverse and often dangerous operational and environmental challenges unlike any other. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of equipment selection and setup\, ammunition selection\, internal\, external\, and terminal ballistics\, and preventative care/maintenance. Live-fire exercises focus on fundamental marksmanship\, rifle zeroing\, grouping\, scope tracking\, and positional shooting on a flat range progressing to extreme terrain\, including high and low angle engagements. PRO will test the rifle/optic combo in field conditions\, and students will practice engaging paper and steel targets out to 1000 yards using a mix of improvised positions. \nDue to the limited duration of this class (two-day)\, participants should arrive on day one with a zeroed and confirmed rifle so we can achieve all desired learning objectives. \n  \nEnrollment: Open to qualified citizens\, law enforcement\, security personnel\, Department of Defense\, and government agencies/contractors

SUMMARY:Protective Security Operations Certification (PSOC) - UNLV
To achieve and enforce this\, students are held to a high standard and expected to perform during training. This is a certification course where various forms of testing and evaluation are utilized to measure the requisite knowledge\, skills\, and abilities for graduation. Attendance does not guarantee completion. Protection Agent Development (Module 1) and Protective Pistol Skills (Module 2) may be taken separately if desired. However\, both modules must be successfully completed within a 12-month period in order to earn the full PSOC certificate. \n  \nPre-requisite: None. \n  \nEnrollment: Open to active security professionals\, law enforcement\, Department of Defense\, government agencies\, eligible government contractors\, and approved civilians with a security industry affiliation. \n  \nAll applicants must be approved to register: \nPlease submit a Restricted Program Approval Request \nA course registration link will be sent upon approval.  \n  \nCommercial Cost: $1\,795.00 \n  \nGSA Cost: $1\,316.00
