SUMMARY:Trauma Care and Immediate Response Executive Protection (TCAIR-EP) - Las Vegas\, NV
DESCRIPTION:Executive Protection or personal security specialists wear many hats during the execution of their duties\, and being a first responder to medical emergencies is no exception.  Challenges can include minor bumps and bruises\, injuries to associates or family\, care in austere environments\, attacks on the principal\, and self-initiated evacuation.  Day 1 of TCAIR-EP is a full 8-hours focused on protection-centric trauma management\, tools\, techniques\, and treatment procedures.  Training prepares personal security professionals for first response to physical trauma and medical emergencies on the street\, in venues\, in vehicles\, on travel\, or at the principal’s residence.  In addition to trauma care\, students will receive instruction in CPR\, Basic First Aid\, and AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator).  Day 2 is an additional eight hours of scenario-based training designed to expose students to greater ambiguity\, fluidity\, and decision-making.  Through moulage\, non-lethal training munitions\, trained role-players\, varying conditions of light\, and many other artificial stressors\, training is brought into a new realm of realism and effectiveness. NAEMT\, the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians\, recognizes all PFC TCAIR training. Understanding anatomy\, methods\, and critical equipment can distinguish between life and death. Anyone can make a dramatic lifesaving impact during high-priority events and emergencies if equipped with the right medical training. Day 1 of TCAIR is a full 8-hour focused on common trauma management\, tools\, techniques\, and treatment procedures. Training prepares students for immediate response to physical trauma and medical emergencies in all environments. Day 2 of TCAIR includes pediatric emergencies\, operations in Hot and Warm zones\, and finally\, a half-day of scenario-based training designed to expose students to greater ambiguity\, fluidity\, and decision-making. SUMMARY:Combative Concealed Handgun (CCH) - Goodsprings\, NV
DESCRIPTION:Despite the proliferation of concealed carry weapon licenses being issued for responsible citizens or security professionals\, none of these programs teach or train the end user to work with and from a covered weapon. Off-duty or plainclothes law enforcement officers do not receive adequate training from their agencies regarding carrying and drawing concealed weapons. Combative Concealed Handgun (CCH) is a one-day program designed to teach the necessary skills to safely carry and dynamically present a handgun from concealment during use-of-force encounters. Students will be taught different techniques for deploying their handguns from various concealed carry methods and positions. Topics covered will include wardrobe selection and modification\, support equipment\, legal considerations\, use of force doctrine\, methods of concealment and deployment\, progressive handgun skills\, intensive concealed weapon drilling\, and unconventional tactics for accessing and fighting with a concealed handgun. This format allows students to focus on the safe and practical use of a concealed handgun during protective operations. Students will learn individual and team-based firearms tactics as they apply to third-person/principal defense. Training includes combative handgun skills applicable to personal security\, Principal Cover & Control Techniques\, Lone Agent Protective Shooting (LAPS) Drills\, Detail Assault Response & Evacuation (DARE) Drills\, and the PSOC/PPS Live Fire Skills Test. DESCRIPTION:PHTLS courses improve the quality of trauma care and decrease mortality. The program is based on a philosophy stressing the treatment of the multi-system trauma patient as a unique entity with specific needs. PHTLS promotes critical thinking as the foundation for providing quality care. It is based on the belief that\, given a good fund of knowledge and fundamental principles\, EMS practitioners can make reasoned decisions regarding patient care. The course utilizes the internationally recognized PHTLS textbook and covers the following topics: \n\nPhysiology of life and death\nScene assessment\nPatient assessment\nAirway\nBreathing\, ventilation\, and oxygenation\nCirculation\, hemorrhage\, and shock\nPatients with disabilities\nPatient simulations\n\nPHTLS is the global gold standard in prehospital trauma education and is taught in 64 countries. PHTLS is appropriate for EMTs\, paramedics\, nurses\, physician assistants\, physicians\, and other prehospital providers. PHTLS is accredited by CAPCE and recognized by NREMT \n  \nPFC offers a PHTLS Hybrid course which includes 8 hours of PHTLS Online Continuing Education and classroom skills update and competency.
